To help our community flourish, we engage in a number of strategic partnerships that allow us to practice faithful presence and love our neighbors well. We encourage our City Groups and individuals to go check out our partners and find opportunities to serve in the community.
MOPS of Williamsport
Encouraging Moms
We host a regional MOPS group on 2nd and 4th Thursdays in the fall and spring. MOPS exists to encourage, equip, and develop every mother of preschoolers to realize her potential as a woman, mother and leader in the name of Jesus Christ. Please refer to their FB for updated info during COVID.
Mission Mobilization Team
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. - Matthew 24: 14
City Alliance Church is part of a family of churches called the Christian and Missionary Alliance. One of our distinctives is that we believe that once the entire world has heard the gospel of Jesus Christ, then the end will come. The last man, woman, or child to hear the gospel will set in motion the chain of events that will bring King Jesus back to earth.
That is why we believe in supporting missionaries who will reach people groups who have never heard of the gospel. In our effort to join with Christ to transform the world, we are investing our prayers, resources, and people to reach Portugal and France.
France and Portugal, while culturally Catholic, are considered more secular. Large portions of the population do not even have a Christ-centered church that can help the people know the love of Jesus and grow in their faith. That is why we’ve decided to support two families that are reaching out into these areas.
The Camara’s in Portugal and the Egli’s in France. These families are serving some of the most underreached people in the world. As a church, we believe God has called us to partner with them in reaching the last, the least, and the lost.
Here’s How You Can Help?
If you’re passionate about reaching people far from God in our world and beyond, then I want to encourage you to join our MISSIONS MOBILIZATION TEAM. The MMT exists to do three things:
CONNECT. One of the things that many missionaries have shared is how hard it is to work in another culture without regular connections with family and friends. This team will regularly connect with our missionary families.
COMMUNICATE. This team will also provide regular updates with our missionaries on what they are doing and how we can come alongside them.
COORDINATE. We eventually want to send teams of our people to go and see what God is doing. This team will help plan, coordinate and lead teams to go.
