City Kids

City Kids is our ministry to children & their families. We believe every child deserves to be loved unconditionally and have a safe place to learn about, question, and experience God's love. We create environments for children to play, make friends, sing songs, and learn the Gospel on their level.

We believe that parents have the primary privilege of teaching their children. Therefore, our friendly, trained, and screened volunteers are committed to partnering with and equipping parents to help their children grow in Christ. Kids are precious to us, and we realize you may have more questions about what to expect when you drop your children off and how they’ll be taken care of.

Parent Resources

Listed below are some resources related to protecting our children. These are not Christian resources; however, there is still good information that can be gleaned from them. Please read with discernment before you share them with your children.

My Body, what I say goes! A book that parents can read to/with their children. It can be used in smaller conversations over time or read all at once. Many helpful questions are asked and answered. This book is good at addressing the need to have multiple safe/trusting adults to go to and identifying who they are. Also addressed the danger of secrets and what is an appropriate secret.

Stop It Now. Prevents the sexual abuse of children by mobilizing adults, families, and communities to take actions that protect children before they are harmed.

Safety Ever After. A website that helps parents with talking points. Geared toward younger kids.

How to Talk to Your kids about personal safety and sexual abuse? A helpful pamphlet with talking points on how to talk to your kids at various points in their life.

Helping Children Cope After a Traumatic Event.

All City Kids volunteers have obtained the appropriate clearances required by PA State Law.
