ANTICIPATION (Advent in Isaiah)
SUNDAY GATHERINGS: 12/3, 12/10, 12/17, 12/24
Advent tells us that life is filled with waiting on and longing for God. We long for lives that are whole, and for a world to be healed, but we all stink at waiting. Advent is a time that focuses our attention on Christ's first coming as well as his second coming when he will return to redeem all of creation and rule with all power and authority.
As we reflect upon Messianic promises given to the prophet Isaiah, we discover Jesus is the light who comes into the darkness of our world to bring renewal, life, and hope (Isaiah 42:6).
