City Groups are our primary environments for discipleship in community.

We believe it’s important to not just go to church, but to be the church - to one another, to our city. We think discipleship best happens through intentional, missional community that goes beyond Sundays to be shaped by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. These serve as ideal environments for a culture of transformation, grace, presence and risk to be developed in us. Within our local church, city groups are the place for the rhythms of Gospel-centered community displayed by the early Church can be lived out together (Acts 2:42-47). We come together to study God's Word, grow friendships, pray with each other, and find ways to love our neighborhoods.

City Groups are meant to be environments where we can share in three communal pursuits:

Knowing Christ Together

The mission of every Christian is to make disciples who know and follow Jesus wholly and intimately. We believe disciples are made and developed through life on life in community. City Groups allows us to practice living the Gospel with and to one another, and on mission where we learn how to proclaim the gospel and make disciples.

Sharing Life Together

Living in community is the biblical model we see throughout Scripture, first in the Trinity and then in the New Testament Church. City Groups provide space to love one another as brothers and sisters - sharing truth, time, resources, needs, struggles and celebrations together - regularly building each other up in love.

Blessing Our City Together

The Church is a group of sent people, called by God to participate in his renewal of the world. In our local context, we desire every city group to identify a group of people whom they believe God is sending them to love, serve, and share Jesus with. We want to see every aspect of our city blessed by God's people.
